1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Nature Scholar LLC ("Nature Scholar," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with our managed Amazon advertising and FBA reimbursement recovery services, our self-serve PPC software, and our website. By using our services, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
- Information you provide. Contact and business details such as your name, email address, company name, and the information you submit when you request an audit, correspond with us, or set up an account.
- Amazon account data. With your authorization, we access data from your Amazon account through Amazon's official APIs. Depending on the services you use, this can include advertising data, orders, inventory, and financial and reimbursement reports. We use this data only to provide the services you have engaged us for.
- Website usage and cookies. Basic technical and usage information such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and referring pages, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see "Cookies" below).
- Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your payment details directly; we do not store full payment card numbers on our systems. We may retain limited billing records such as your plan, invoices, and the last four digits of a card as provided by Stripe.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- deliver, operate, maintain, and improve our services and software;
- optimize your advertising and analyze account performance;
- identify discrepancies and prepare and file eligible FBA reimbursement claims;
- process billing and payments and prevent fraud;
- provide customer support and respond to your requests;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
4. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run our business and provide the services:
- Amazon — to access authorized data and perform the services on your behalf.
- Stripe — to process payments and manage subscriptions.
- Service providers — vendors that help us operate (for example hosting, analytics, and support tools), under contracts that require them to protect your information and use it only to provide services to us.
- Legal reasons — where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Nature Scholar, our clients, or others.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data security
We take the protection of your data seriously and apply administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect it, including:
- Encryption in transit and at rest — data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS) and stored using encryption at rest.
- Access controls and least privilege — access to systems and data is restricted to authorized personnel who need it to perform their role, and is governed by authentication controls.
- Scoped, revocable access — we access Amazon data through scoped API authorizations only, never through your password, and you can revoke access at any time.
- Monitoring and incident response — we maintain procedures to detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents, and will notify affected parties as required by applicable law.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data using industry-recognized practices and to limit the data we hold to what is needed to provide the services.
6. Data retention & deletion
We retain your information for as long as you are a client and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the services, to comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting us, and we will honor the request subject to any legal retention requirements.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict its use, and to object to certain processing or request portability. This includes rights under the EU/UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act), as applicable. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies that are necessary for the website and application to function, and analytics cookies that help us understand how our site is used so we can improve it. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect how the site works.
9. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and the information we process may be transferred to and stored in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers. By using our services, you understand that your information may be processed in these locations.
10. Children
Our services are intended for businesses and are not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
